| The Nova Scotia Book Arts Group will be presenting an exhibit of artist's books at The Craig case galleries during the month of November 2026. We invite interested creatives within the Nova Scotia book arts community to create new work in the form of artist's books for inclusion in this exhibit. In order to be considered, your submissions must be received before October 1st, 2026. The objective of the exhibit is to showcase the artist's book as a medium for artistic expression where book form and/or technique are an integral part of an artistic piece. At this time, the working title of the show is "Broken Spines." What is an artist's book? An artist's book is a work of art in book form. Unlike a traditional book, an artist's book is usually a unique art object that challenges traditional notions of what a book can be through its creative use of material and content and/or its manipulation of traditional form and structure. Submissions will be accepted between March 1st and October 1st, 2026. Full submission instructions will be made available here at that time. |
